All of creation was created perfect with no sin and no death.  Then came the temptation of Adam and Eve and the fall of man into sin. The resulting curses would effect all of creation from that point forward. Yet, God had a plan for redemption and salvation for this fallen world.

Genesis 3 - The story of the fall of man and the consequences of their sin and banishment from the Garden of Eden

Psalm 51:2-5 - Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge.  Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Psalm 53:1-4 - The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."  They are corrupt, and their ways are vile, there is no one who does good.  God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.  Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

John 1:1-14 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through him al things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
